Fraunhofer IKTS Workshop

High-performance screen-print pastes, nano-inks and -powders  ~ towards the next generation of power electronics and advanced functional elements

Date&Time: January 30, 2015, 10:00-12:00
Venue: Tokyo Big Sight, Conference Tower, Room 801
Participation fee: free
*registration needed

Researchers from Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS) will give talks on high-performance screen-print pasts, nano-inks and -powders on January 30, 2015 in Tokyo, on the occasion of nano tech 2015.

Power electronics is becoming a key technology for a rising number of products and systems due to a global trend to green energy and the establishment of electric mobility. For increasing local current transport and storage, new low-cost converting equipment is needed. Complex key challenges such as systems integration, higher energy density, better heat dissipation, robustness and reliablity as well as optimized passive components cannot be overcom by use of the established material systems on the market today, as Direct Coppor Bond (DCB) on Al2O3 or AlN, or Active Metal Brazing (AMB) on Si3N4.

We would like to enter into keen discussions and are looking forward to seeing you.

10:00-10:30    Introduction
10:30-11:15    Talk 1: High-performance screen-print pasts for AlN and Si3N4
11:15-12:00    Talk 2: From powders, inks and pases to advanced functional elements
