Titel: New Surface Pre-treatment Approaches in Combination with Technical and Organizational Quality Assurance in Germany

Abstract:
Industry has a high demand for surface pre-treatments to ensure high quality and extended lifetime for their products. Technical quality assurance methods as well as workforce qualification are inevitable components to realize stable and reproducible pre-treatment processes. Examples of pre-treatment methods in combination with inline quality control systems and workforce qualification will be given.

Profile:
Study in physics at university of Hamburg (Germany) with degree of diploma: topic in field of plasma assisted deposition of magnetic micro structures and their characterization. Ph.D. Thesis in plasma chemistry at chemistry department of University Bremen (Germany): topic in field of plasma polymer deposition at atmospheric pressure. Actual research associate at Fraunhofer IFAM (Bremen, Germany), working field is surface treatments: one focus is on surface treatments by atmospheric pressure plasma systems for activation as well as plasma polymer layer deposition for coating and adhesive bonding applications.
