The Fraunhofer Battery Network will present his research and development activities in the fields of materials for lithium ion batteries and as well as of battery systems at Battery Expo Japan from March 2nd – March 4th, at booth No. W6-8.

Electrical energy storage devices in vehicles must meet a particularly wide range of (sometimes contradictory) requirements, regarding for example their cost, energy and power density, cycle stability, temperature range and safety. In order to adapt lithium ion batteries for use in vehicles, optimization is needed across a series of disciplines. The Fraunhofer Institutes of the Battery Network have competences in all fields of battery research. Researchers and developers from 18 Fraunhofer institutes have combined their competences in the Fraunhofer Battery Network.
