1st German Innovation Award in Japan
German companies donate 1st German Innovation Award in Japan - Fraunhofer president Prof. Bullinger german part of the jury
Tokyo, March 6 – At the festive ceremony of the 1st German Innovation Award on march 6th, five young scientist teams received the price launched by twelve technology focused German companies and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan. Its underlying objective is to promote industry-academia cooperation between two countries.
The jury consists of famous Japanese Professors under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Masuo Aizawa, Executive Member of the Council for Science and Technology Policy. From the german side, Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Bullinger, President of Fraunhofer Society is permanent member of the jury.
At the ceremony Dr. Dirk-Meints Polter represented the Fraunhofer president and especially warmly welcomed one of the price winners wish to visit Fraunhofer Institute IZM. Mr. Takuto Watanabe from Aoyama Gakuin University was very impressed by a thesis done at IZM, which influenced his research and started his wish to visit Fraunhofer.
