ITO shortage is one of the major challenges for applications in the fields of electronics and renewable energies. Therefore, researchers all over the world are keen on replacing ITO by nano carbon materials, such as CNTs or graphene, conductive polymers or nano metal wires. However, none of those options could beat ITO in its optoelectronic properties. An analysis of those alternative materials comes to the point that ITO complement is a good approach, not ITO replacement.

In this seminar Fraunhofer IPA presents their research results of transparent conductive films using CNT conductive inks and CVD graphene.
